Chandra Ann Levy was an intern at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Washington, DC, who disappeared in May 2001 and presumed dead after her skeletal remains were discovered in Rock Creek Park in May 2002. Condit was never named a suspect by police and was eventually acquitted of complicity.
Levy was last seen on May 1, 2001. Metropolitan Police Department in the District of Columbia was first announced on 6May 2001, when Levy called parents from Modesto to report that they had not heard from her daughter for five days.
The Levy murder remained listed as a "Cold Case" until 3 March 2009, when Superior Court in the District of Columbia issued an arrest warrant for Guandique. On Wednesday, April 22, 2009, was Guandique task of Chandra Levy murder. At his arraignment, where Guandique pleaded "not guilty" was a trial date for 27 January 2010.
